Who is Eric D Tinkler

I am a technical director/project manager who has experience with carpentry, metalworking, welding, rigging, CNC programming and operation, vector works, excel budgeting and cost analysis/tracking and smaller scale fabrication techniques.

I currently work as a lead carpenter at the University of North Texas where I am pursuing a BA in technical theatre with a focus in design/tech. In this I am responsible for teaching and leading practicum students in the construction and maintenance of our shop and sets. I am also a forefront CNC operator and programmer where I am responsible for running and maintaining a Laguna 4x8 CNC machine.

My current projects include being the primary Technical Director of UNT’s production of Cabaret. This includes doing digital drafting and technical schematics for the shop to construct. It also includes doing safety and rigging for any and all hanging units as-well as safe operation of all machinery. Im also pursuing some personal skills in metal fabrication along with working on a lathe.
